Pacific Radiology has formed a joint venture with Cyclotek Australia to build a cyclotron and radiopharmaceutical laboratory at Wellington Airport.

Earthworks commenced October 2009 at a site close to the cargo handling facilities. This will supply Pacific Radiology and the whole of New Zealand with PET radiopharmaceuticals for cancer heart and brain scans.

This is  New Zealand’s first and only cyclotron.
